El nuevo Centro ABC de Dibujo e Ilustración, surge con una voluntad de ser un referente artístico a nivel internacional y también un símbolo de la oferta cultural de Madrid. Su instalación en el edificio de la antigua fábrica de la calle Amaniel, tenía que responder a una adecuada intervención en un edificio histórico, pero sin renunciar a expresar un carácter de centro contemporáneo con una oferta cultural y artística diversa vinculada con las instituciones más vanguardistas de su contexto.
Más de 3.500 metros cuadrados, distribuidos en seis plantas, que cobijan dos amplias salas de exposiciones —una muy espectacular, de doble altura, se halla bajo la plaza peatonal—, espacios multifuncionales, depósito de obras, laboratorio de restauración, almacenes, cafetería, tienda, oficinas.
